Looking for a wall used to decorate or define space? Freestanding wall solution would be your top choice. Want to build a wall over 50ft tall? There’s a Reinforced / Mechanically Stabilized Earth solution for that. Retaining something behind the wall, but having geogrid problems? Check out our Gravity walls.
The Redi-Rock® hybrid wall system is an expansive modular block wall that can work together with cast-in-place concrete. For whatever project you’re working on, there’s a retaining wall solution for you.
Types of Redi-Rock® Modular Block Retaining Wall
Freestanding Walls
Redi-Rock freestanding walls can seamlessly blend in with other Redi-Rock retaining wall products whether it’s built to be a barrier on top or a seat wall adjacent to it.
Options for solid or hollow core are available; which can provide solutions to flood control and force protection.
Its visually pleasing texture is perfect to hide your privacy as well as accentuate the entrance to the property. It can also be used to hold sign foundations.
- Great top-of-wall function or standalone structures
- Can be used to create grand entrances and signs

Gravity Walls
Masonry blocks, stones, or concrete are typically used to construct gravity retaining walls as the mass of these materials can resist the horizontal pressure exerted by the retained material. Thus, keeping the wall stable and the retained material in place.
Tiebacks, anchors, or any additional reinforcements are not required to stabilize gravity retaining walls as it already relies on its own mass and the force of gravity acting on it.
Gravity retaining wall bases have the largest blocks amongst all its features. These large bases distributes the pressure on the soil as well as keeping the blocks on top of it in a stable position.
Depending on the site location and needs, these blocks can be configured to best suit it. Its versatility can give a desired appearance to any terrain may it be stepped, curved, cornered, or terraced.
Simple design means less failed components. With proper installation of these gravity walls, these can last for up to 75-100 years. These blocks are engineered to provide stability and withstand all elements for a long period of time.
There is no need of additional reinforcements to keep a gravity wall stable unlike other wall types.
- Most common wall type which doesn’t require geogrid reinforcements
- Uses the mass of stone to resist pressure from the soil

Hybrid Walls
Redi-Rock hybrid wall system is a combination of precast modular blocks and cast-in-place concrete. It can be used as a concrete backfill or a cantilever solution.
- Can be combined with casted in place concrete
- Can mix and match blocks combining gravity, reinforced, and freestanding walls

Reinforced Walls (MSE)
Mechanically Stabilized Earth(MSE)/Reinforced wall is not limited to the weight of the wall, but the strength of the geogrid. Thus, taller MSE/reinforced wall proportionate to stronger and longer geogrids.
Compared to friction connection, PC walls have a very strong top connection that can easily handle live loads.
Geogrids are securely wrapped in between PC blocks which removes installation errors and avoids geogrid problems.
- Can support heavy live loads
- Can stand over 15 meters tall with beautiful and natural looking stone textures

Considerations for Using Redi-Rock® Precast Modular Blocks
Redi-Rock® is perfect for multiple types of residential and commercial projects wherein:
- Walls are need to be built with engineering and reinforcement
- Walls need to be close to property lines
- Properties or shorelines need protection from erosion
- Solutions are needed for grade changes
- Sloped slots need more buildable space
- You can beautify your property with natural stone textures or smooth textured walls
- Withstands all-season changes as well as water submersion
- Wall types vary between Gravity, Reinforced, Freestanding, and Hybrid

This structurally sound solution comes with easy installation process that only requires a small crew and machinery.
